ESA Open Day 2025: A Day to Remember Inside the GSSC Operations Room
On Saturday, 4 October, the GNSS Science Support Centre (GSSC) opened its doors to the general public for the third time. The event was part of ESA’s annual Open Day at ESAC, which invites the public to go behind the scenes and meet the people and missions shaping Europe’s role in space exploration.

Under the theme “Expanding the Frontiers of Science with the Galileo Navigation System”, participants had the chance to explore how the GSSC contributes to scientific research by providing access to GNSS data and supporting the scientific community in its use.
Visitors engaged with the GSSC team, discovered the tools and services available through the GSSC portal, and learned how scientists around the world use Galileo data for cutting-edge studies in Earth science, space weather, or fundamental physics.
